Medication-Assisted Treatment Program

in a convenient and personal manner for Opioid Use Disorders

  • Accepting Insurance

  • Weekend appointments available

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based intervention that treats opioid-use disorder with prescription medication. This approach can help adults who are struggling with addictions to heroin, prescription pain medicine, and other opioids and establish a foundation of lifelong recovery.

At our clinic, we use buprenorphine and Suboxone with independent patient plans. All our treatments and modalities are done according to the guidelines set up by the Office of Health and Human Services in the state of West Virginia. Our clinic is an out-patient treatment office and refers to other facilities for higher acuity treatment whenever necessary.

Our Medical Director has extensive experience in working with opioid use disorder in both critical care and in office-based settings. The medications offered at our clinic help ease the distressing impacts of opioid withdrawal, including reducing opioid cravings with a heartfelt and compassionate approach to patients and help achieve their goals and recovery.

Our clinic relies on experts in recovery and addiction to provide the appropriate counseling in MAT that is in person or online for the convenience of each patient regardless of their status. We know how difficult recovery can be in maintaining while battling addiction. We focus on the rest. We provide sources in the community with past and current patients to help pull the patient towards a lifetime of recovery with a solid foundation of support.

The Crux

Our clinic recognizes the stigmatism of opioid addiction and offers a program that is confidential and focuses on patient’s dignity in recovery. Our outpatient treatment program at Carolina Avenue Clinic is confidential and maintains absolute anonymity from patient’s making opioid withdrawal more comfortable and easier. We prefer the dual therapy of Suboxone and Naloxone for greater patient outcomes in clinical setting and at home in outpatient services.

Expectation

Although our clinic is not an all-in-one, one-stop-shop, our clients can expect 110% of our time and efforts to provide a safe and accepting atmosphere for a lifelong recovery. We do refer to counseling because we feel that some people provide greater expertise in their fields, and our aim is only for the best outcomes for our clients.

We also provide other medical services to our clients so they can have access to an urgent care atmosphere in our clinic. Our provider receive patients who are sick, need work physicals, or have injuries. Our lab is second to none in the entire state of West Virginia. We use PCR technology in our facility’s lab to identify infections from skin conditions, cough and cold illness, and Sexually Transmitted Infections with 99% accuracy.

Our provider has extensive history in philanthropy and motivational interviewing, hoping to inspire the patients for lifelong recovery, focusing on a goal setting and self-actualization.  When you seek care at our clinic, you will receive the following care elements and work closely with counseling services to develop:

  • A comprehensive intake assessment to understand the patient needs and provide holistic treatment.

  • A personalized treatment plan focusing on the most appropriate medication and counseling services.

The First Step

We accept MAT patients by appointment only.

  1. Contact us: Please contact us by phone or e-mail, or simply stop by our clinic.

  2. Paperwork & Blood Work: We will give you paperwork to fill out and order a necessary blood work if you cannot provide your lab result from another facility.

  3. Make an appointment.

First Visit: The first visit typically takes between one hour to two hours, depending on the patient and case in order to assess and determine the best treatment plan for the patient.

The Second Visit and After: A visit will become much shorter once a patient's safe and stable treatment is established.  If the patient has been established with another provider before us, the second visit will be as short as 20 minutes.  Please understand that we follow the guidelines and abide by the rules and regulations.  Our patients always receive an appropriate exam at every visit.  We do not fill a prescription without a proper assessment.  In other words, we do not take patient's money without giving a proper service.
